Where the Bay Area Derby rolls out from. Where the Golden State Storm set league attendance records. Where the Bay Area Falcons went undefeated. Where Oakland Tech won back-to-back state basketball championships – twice. And where women’s sports fans should always feel at home.

At Oakland Athletic Club, we are creating a home court for women's sports fans. We know how frustrating it can be to go to a sports bar and the game you want to see isn't on. And when you ask to change the channel, the reaction might be confusion or even hostility. That will not happen here. Our commitment is to always have women's sports on. Sometimes, like when the Valkyries are playing, they might be on every TV in the house. 

But it doesn't stop with designated TVs that always show women's sports. We are also creating a space in our upstairs lounge that will have its own special (violet?) vibe.

OAC's women's sports lounge will be a place where you might plan a special event or just drop by for a midweek kickback. Through a community-driven effort, we are co-designing the look, feel, event calendar, secret menu and even the name of this lounge. We can't wait for you to join us there.
